Edmund Husserl
Austrian-German philosopher widely considered as the father of phenomenology and the phenomenological movement. In his early work, he elaborated critiques of historicism and of psychologism in logic based on analyses of intentionality. In his mature work, he sought to develop a systematic foundational science based on the so-called phenomenological reduction (époché). Husserl's thought profoundly influenced the landscape of twentieth-century philosophy and he remains a notable figure in contemporary philosophy and beyond.
Les leçons de Husserl ici présentées datent de 1908 à 1914, période à laquelle le philosophe était déjà converti à la thèse de l'idéalisme transcendantal. Mais qu'en est-il lorsqu'il s'agit non pas d'objets mais d'éthique et d'axiologie, c'est-à-dire des domaines qui demandent un autre mode d'élucidation que l'analyse intentionnelle des modes d'objectivation ? L'intention générale qui traverse et nourrit ces leçons sur l'éthique et l'axiologie réside dans le projet de constitution d'une éthique et d'une axiologie formelles, et dans la mise en évidence systématique d'une analogie entre ces disciplines et la logique formelle.
